Latest Ofsted Report

St Stephen’s RC Primary School was judged Good in all areas at its most recent Ofsted inspection.
Inspectors found that pupils thrive in a caring, nurturing and inclusive environment where they feel safe, valued and supported. They noted that the school provides a broad range of opportunities for all pupils, including those with SEND, such as after-school clubs, educational visits and music lessons. Pupils develop positive attitudes, show respect for diversity, and demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility through charitable activities and eco-initiatives.

Leaders and staff were praised for their commitment to pupils’ personal development and wellbeing, and governors are now better equipped to support and challenge school leaders effectively. Safeguarding arrangements were judged to be effective, with staff trained and vigilant, and pupils confident in understanding how to keep themselves safe, including online.
